Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Lodge is often praised for its comfortable and modern rooms, with some guests specifically highlighting the spacious attic room featuring a large bath and a distant sea view, or feature rooms with freestanding copper baths and super king-size beds. Dining experiences in the bar area are generally positive, especially the lamb and smash pattie burgers, and desserts like the Biscoff Cheesecake, though some have found the fish and chips disappointing on occasion. Guests with dogs appreciate the thoughtful touches in dog-friendly rooms off the courtyard, such as dog towels and treats, and the convenience of being a short walk from the beach.

Breakfast included a buffet with fresh pastries. The room had a modern bathroom with a rainfall shower. Parking on site was ample. I always found a space.
The minibar fridge was quite small.

missing tv loud chatter
the room was a nice size for a solo traveller.
I paid extra for a superior room hoping for a big tv and coffee machine since i was staying two nights. i did not get either. the room also did not resemble the online pictures. That was annoying. at 9am each day, cleaning staff woke me up with loud chatter and banging around outside my door. to make things worse, they cleaned my room even though i did not request service and a sign was on the door.

powdered eggs non-functional coffee machine
I must say, a few things weren't exactly cricket. the breakfast buffet, while plentiful, included scrambled eggs i suspect were powdered. they possess a texture most unusual. also, the promised toiletries in my beautiful king room were sparse. Only a combined shampoo and body wash. i expected more, honestly. the advertised coffee machine also did not function and no one ever came to fix it after i asked. imagine my morning without decent coffee.
